Our goal is to improve diagnosis, halt the progression of Parkinson’s spectrum disorders, repair damage caused by them, discover ways to detect them before the first symptoms appear and ultimately prevent these diseases.

The UCSF Parkinson’s Spectrum Disorders Center was created in 2017 to use a multidisciplinary effort to help diagnose, evaluate, treat and, ultimately, prevent parkinsonian disorders, including corticobasal syndrome, Lewy body disease, multiple system atrophy, Parkinson’s disease and progressive supranuclear palsy.
